Unit Size

Fortunately, steam sauna shower units come in standard sizes so that they can easily fit the existing shower. However, the unit that you have your eyes on may have a larger size than the available space. To avoid any frustration, always measure the amount of space you have and find a unit that can fit in that space.

Jet Location

The location of the jets inside the unit determines how much steam you will feel. Make sure they are installed at the right spots in relation to where your body will be as you stand in the unit.

Slip-proof Flooring

This is one of the mandatory features to look for in a steam sauna shower unit. If you will use essential oil for aromatherapy, it would be great to have a slip-proof flooring. Plus, anyone could be at the risk of falling. Make sure the flooring has some sort of texturing to prevent slips and falls.

Steam Generator

All steam showers have a steam generator that’s hooked to the electrical system of the home. Check the voltage required to make the generator work. More power means more steam.

Light And Scent Therapy

Light and scent therapy help you relax. Lights are a part of the chromotherapy and essential oils are used for aromatherapy. If you want to experience both, then make sure the unit you are buying supports them.
